Biography

Yuan Yuan received the BS in Mathematics from Peking University in 2004 and his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Rutgers, New Brunswick in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, he was a J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University. He then joined Syracuse University in 2013 and became Full Professor in 2025. In May 2025, he joined the Institute for Theoretical Sciences, Westlake University as a Professor of Mathematics.

Research

Yuan Yuan's research centers on Several Complex Variables. He has been working on various related geometric, analytical problems, including the rigidity of holomorphic maps, the Bergman and Szegő projections, the ∂¯-equation, and the geometric flows on Kähler manifolds.
