Title: Phase Transitions in Quantum Many-body theory
Abstract:
In this talk I will present some recent progress on the construction of ground state of the honeycomb Hubbard model, which is a prototypical model for studying the metal-superconductor phase transition in quantum many-body system. Using fermionic cluster expansion and constructive renormalization theory we prove that phase transition happens in this model when the temperature reaches the critical value Tc, whose expression has been derived rigorously. We also prove that the ground state of this model is not a Fermi liquid in the mathematical precise sense of Salmhofer. I will also talk about the non-Fermi liquid behavior in the Hubbard model on the square lattice.
