Title: Some progress on the classification of Fano threefolds

Abstract: It is well known that there are 106 classes of smooth Fano threefolds. For singular case, the classification is far from being settled. In this talk, I will talk some backgrounds and show some recent progress on the classification of canonical Fano threefolds. This is a joint work with Chen Jiang.
