Title：Homological method in branching laws
Abstract：Understanding how a representation decomposed when restricted to a 'nice' subgroup is a problem of fundamental interests in the representation theory. In this talk, following D. Prasad, we will discuss some recent results of the homological method in branching laws, especially some vanishing theorem. If time permits, we will also give some speculations on connection with local L-functions.
