This August, let’s wield mathematics as a key to unlock the enigmas of the brain! Tailored explicitly for math enthusiasts, this summer school delves into the sophisticated frameworks of large-scale system modeling, deciphers the spatiotemporal dynamics encoded in Hawkes processes for neuroscience, on the local stability of the elapsed-time model in terms of the transmission delay and interconnection strength, the existence theory for a kinetic Fokker-Planck equation with measure right-hand side arising in neuroscience, and unravels the mathematical marvel of measure concentration in biological neural networksa phenomenon that illuminates the hidden order within complex systems.

Who Should Apply:

l Graduate and senior undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Computational Sciences, with a solid mathematical foundation (e.g., expertise in Mathematical Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability Theory, or equivalent coursework).

l Prior exposure to neuroscience fundamentals or programming proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory.

l A passion for interdisciplinary exploration and problem-solving!
