Arakelov Geometry lies at the crossroads of Algebraic Geometry, Number Theory, and Complex Analysis, bringing geometric intuition to arithmetic through techniques from homological algebra, K-theory, and the theory of distributions. In recent years, the field has developed rich interactions with Diophantine Geometry, Non-Archimedean and Tropical Geometry, the Theory of Motives, Dynamical Systems, and Pluripotential Theory.
The Intercity Seminar on Arakelov Geometry is an international forum for discussing new advances in the field. Since 2009, it has been held annually in Paris, Kyoto, Barcelona, Rome, Regensburg, Beijing, Madrid, Copenhagen, Iaşi.
This year's meeting takes on a special two-week format and becomes a research school, with a particular focus on graduate and PhD students:
Week 1 (14–18 Sept.) — A series of mini courses introducing foundational and recent topics
Week 2 (21–25 Sept.) — The traditional research conference featuring talks on current developments.
