报告主题：Weierstrass, Okounkov and Tian meet
报告摘要：The Luckensatz ("Gap Theorem") was first stated by Weierstrass in his lectures in Berlin in the 1860's, and first appeared in the thesis of his student Schottky (1875). It was generalized by Brill, Noether, and Hurwitz already in the 19th century, and has been a topic of intense studies for the past 150 years. Weierstrass "gap" points are distinguished points on a Riemann surface that carry a lot of information about the surface. In joint work with Jin and Tian we develop a generalization of Weierstrass gap theory to higher-dimensional varieties. This makes contact with convex geometry, algebraic geometry, and complex geometry.
