In the first talk of our series of seminars, Dr. Wei will give an oversimplified introduction to nonabelian Hodge theory. Then, he will talk about its impacts on Hyperkahler geometry, Teichmüller space, geometric Langlands program, and so on. References will also be given for our subsequent seminars.
