讲座摘要: Continued fractions are an indispensable tool in many fields of mathematics and science. I will discuss the subject and connections with dynamical systems and geometry starting from pioneering ideas of Gauss. In the second half of my talk, I will present a modern dynamical picture using tools from the ergodic theory of group actions.
