Title:On equidistribution in Arakelov theory
Abstract:Equidistribution results have been widely studied in number theory, including by Bilu, Szpiro-Ullmo-Zhang and Yuan, and have proved useful in Diophantine geometry, in particular in proving the Bogomolov conjecture. In this talk, I will present a new equidistribution result which, unlike previous results, does not require that the height tends to its minimum, but only holds for "almost all" sequences. As motivation, I will first discuss a formulation for polynomials, and then present the general result in the framework of Arakelov theory.
