1st Talk

Time: 16:00-17:00, October 16, 2024

Title: Étale fundamental groups

Abstract: In the first talk, we will recall the definition of the étale fundamental group of a (nice) scheme and review basic facts concerning the group.

2nd Talk

Time: 16:00-17:00, October 18, 2024

Title: Anabelian geometry for hyperbolic curves

Abstract: In the second talk, we will explain one of the main conjectures in anabelian geometry for hyperbolic curves over number fields, called the Grothendieck Conjecture and partially proved by Nakamura, Tamagawa, and in complete generality by Mochizuki.

3rd Talk

Time: 16:00-17:00, October 23, 2024

Title: Anabelian geometry for p-adic local fields

Abstract: In the third talk, we will discuss results in anabelian geometry for p-adic local fields from the point of view of mono-anabelian geometry.

This point of view plays an essential role in inter-universal Teichmüller theory.

4th Talk

Time: 16:00-17:30, October 25, 2024

Title: Introduction to inter-universal Teichmüller theory

Abstract: In the fourth talk, we will give a brief introduction to inter-universal Teichmüller theory.
