Title: From spherically complete spaces to p-adic transcendence
Abstract: Spherical completeness is an important condition in non-archimedean functional analysis. In this talk, I will introduce the theory of spherically complete valued fields, with emphasis on its arithmetic applications. This is based on a series of joint work with Shanwen Wang.
