Title: Morrison-Kawamata cone conjecture for Calabi-Yau fiber spaces
Biography:
Zhan Li is an assistant professor at Southern University of Science and Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2014 from Rutgers University, under the supervision of Prof. Lev Borisov. His main area of interest lies in algebraic geometry, especially in birational geometry.
Abstract:
In this talk, Dr. Li will explain the relationship between the Morrison-Kawamata cone conjecture for Calabi-Yau fiber spaces and the existence of Shokurov polytopes. For K3 fibrations, this enables us to establish the existence of (weak) fundamental domains for movable cones. This is a joint work with Hang Zhao.
