Biography
Yifan Gao received his bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 2017 and his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2022. He then conducted postdoctoral research at City University of Hong Kong from 2022 to 2025. He joined the Institute for Theoretical Sciences, Westlake University in December 2025.
Research
Dr. Gao's research lies at the intersection of probability theory and mathematical physics, with a focus on statistical physics and random geometry, including Gaussian free field, Brownian loop soup, percolation, and Schramm-Loewner evolution.
